Hey Mom!
It´s been a while since I´ve beaten you to the computer, and I hope everything´s alright and that you aren´t too busy. This week was really great; we had a baptism on Saturday, and we´ll have one more this week too! We´re working really hard and trying our best to be the example for the Zone. At times, it´s tiresome, but I know that we´re doing the right thing, especially when we get great results like we are getting!
I´m so excited to cook next week! It sounds like, Wednesday night, we´ll head over to the mission home once we get done working, stay the night there and I´ll spend the whole morning getting stuff ready. It´s been SO long since I´ve spent the whole day cooking, and I´m so excited to just get in the kitchen again! It sounds like the maid that they have doesn´t like a lot of people in the kitchen, so we´ll have to see how the whole thing goes. I hope I don´t have to get in a fight with a Brasilian lady to get stuff done.
I saw Elder de Jesus yesterday! He was super happy that you guys sent him all that stuff, and it was really cool to see him again. It´s so cool to see great companions again, and to hear a lot of stories. I saw Elder Serrano a few weeks back too, and he was talking about all of the members from Jardim Mercúrio and how they all said they missed me. I saw them the Sunday before that, and it was so great. They all looked so good! And some of the people I baptized were there, and when I asked them about it, they were all still going to church! That was the biggest thing for me, because I didn´t know what else I might be able to do after I left, but I saw that the ward was taking really really good care of them. I´m excited to come visit them when we come back!
Can you send me the recipe for cranberry sauce and maybe a good pie crust, too? We´re doing to do pumpkin pie from the pumpkin, and I think I might to peach tart tatin if I can get it to work. I´m so stoked! I hope everything´s going great mom. I love you!!!! Have a great week!!!!!!
Love, Eric
Hey Dad!
I´m great! We´re doing so much stuff and we´re walking a LOT, but I really feel like the Lord has been blessing us so much. We´ve been working a lot with less actives in the last few weeks, and two of our baptisms have come out of it! Because of that, we really want to keep trying different things so we can show our desire to the Lord and to see a lot of results. It´s going well, we just have to plan better. And we´re working on it for sure.
I´m so excited to cook for Thanksgiving! We´re going to stay the night at the mission home and then I´ll spend the morning getting it all ready. So excited! I´m not sure exactly what I´ll be cooking, but I´m getting my ideas together right now. Lots and lots of garlic and onions, haha. But I´m so glad I´ll get to share that moment with them; last Thanksgiving was pretty tough for me, since we always are together in family. It won´t be exactly the same, but it´ll still be good. I´m going to do a turkey, potatoes, broccoli, maybe green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce, if it gets here in time. We´ll have to see though, I´m still thinking.
Transfers are next week, and I´m really not expecting any changes, and I´m actually praying really hard for it. I really think we have so much more to do here in the ward, and Elder Gill´s a great companion. I feel like I´m learning a lot with him, and this transfer just flew by! I can´t believe it´s almost Christmas again!
Something I thought of that would be great to have is a hoody sweatshirt. Like a pullover and a zip up. I know I have some at home, and I´m sure mom knows where they´re at, so if you could send those in my Christmas package I´d really appreciate it. But other than that, I´m great.
I hope you´re doing well dad, and have lots of work to do still. Have a great week!!!! Love you!!!!!
Love, Eric
