Hi Mom!
So I´m on early again; we´ve got a lot of stuff to do so we got on the internet early and are trying to get everything sorted out. How are things at work? How was the cake? Dad said that it was a huge success; I hope that it wasn´t too much stress. But congratulations! That was your biggest project yet, right? I´m sure it was definitely worth it to put all of that work in.
We had our Christmas conference yesterday, and it was awesome. We learned a lot about the Atonement of Christ, and I understand it now in a way that I never had thought of before. President and Sister Cordon really are inspired, and every time that President speaks I can feel his authority. He really is called of God. We had some really cool practices, really great food, and it was great because all of the Americans that got here with me were there! My camera´s dead for now, so I´ll have to wait until they send me the picture, but I´ll be sure to send it your way.
Things here are going well, getting hotter every day but there´s always a little rain to keep things interesting. Friday we got totally DRENCHED; we had to sprint home to get our clothes changed, take another shower and grab our umbrellas. I´m sure it was pretty nuts to see two guys in white shirts and ties running in a torrential downpour, but there weren´t really any other options. It´s these kinds of things that make you laugh on the mission, though. So crazy!
The first package didn´t get here yet, but I´m sure it´s on its way. The conference was early this year, so there were a lot of people who didn´t get the stuff their parents sent yet. I´m still in shock that my second and last Christmas conference is over, and that we´re headed in on our third call! Elder Gill´s family wants him to call in the morning on Sunday, which for us will be the early afternoon, so I need to know what time church starts there so I can plan out when we can hook up. I want to make it so you don´t have to worry about the time. We´ll get it working though; I´m sure of that.
The holiday season is busy, but we´re doing a lot of really great things. I´m so excited to see what happens in December! I love you Mom, Have a great week!!!! Love you!!!!!!!!!
Love, Eric

Hey Dad!
Things are great here, and it´s getting hotter and hotter and looking less and less like Christmas every day! It´s really really cool here, though; there are lights all over the place and special presentations in like all of the praças all around downtown. I was on a division with a priest on Monday and we went by a HUGE bank that was all lit up. There were kids singing and some sort of a presentation going on; I wanted so bad to go (and even though it was out of my area, it was in my Zone so I wouldn´t have to ask permission) but we had a lot of appointments to get to. We´re working really hard to find new people to teach, and trying to take advantage of the great Christmas spirit that´s here.
We´re working really hard with the Elders´ quorum to get them to do their home teaching in Ala 2; we prayed about it and really feel like that´s what´ll make the difference there. There are so many people on the ward list to visit, and our goal is to visit all of them. Every one. It´s going pretty well so far, seeing as we´re finding out that it´s been a long time since it´s been updated. Lots of people don´t live in the ward anymore, so we´re visiting a lot of people who aren´t members. It´s actually a really great opportunity to share the gospel, and we´re trying to take advantage of every minute we´ve got. After all, Elder Gill´s only got one more transfer after this!
I´m so glad everything went well with the cake. Send me pictures! Who knows, maybe Mom will get more clients soon! Did you guys get stressed out that bad? Maybe it´s only when I´m in the kitchen that Mom gets worried. In any case, congratulations for all of the work you guys did, I´m sure it was worth it.
So it sounds like Elder Gill´s family wants him to do the call Sunday morning, so I think that´s going to be the easiest for you guys too. There´s a six hour time difference; what time does church start? I´ll try to plan it out so that we can talk and we don´t have to be in a hurry or anything. Let me know and I´ll get it all planned out.
Don´t get too cold! I´ll try to send some of our heat your way. Have a great week Dad! Love you!!!!!!!!!!
Love, Eric
